How Do I Get Paid?


Class Static Productions clients are paid royalties on a quarterly basis. Royalty payments occur once each quarter. Clients must have at least $5.00 earned in royalties before funds are paid out.

Class Static Productions has partnered with Payoneer as a third party service. Clients can register with Payoneer for free. Payoneer does charge service fees to transfer funds to bank accounts and all service fees do apply.

Clients must register with Payoneer directly. A link to register with Payoneer is provided in client’s Class Static My Account Profile, on the direct deposit page. Clients must make sure their email address listed in their My Account Profile matches the email address registered with their Payoneer account.

When Do I Get Paid?


Clients have earned at least $5.00 in royalties, Class Static Productions pay their client’s royalties on a quarterly basis. All payments are paid directly to client’s Payoneer account. Royalty disbursement dates can be found in client’s My Account Center, under royalty disbursement. It can take up to 12 months before you receive your first payment. Your songs will be registered with numerous societies before royalties can be collected worldwide. For songwriter royalties, clients will receive a check directly from their Performing Rights Organization. Clients are also able to set-up direct deposit directly with their Performing Rights Organization and receive songwriter royalties. Often, songwriter royalties are paid to clients one quarter before they receive their publisher royalties from Class Static Productions.




Why Does Class Static Collect My Royalties Up to 1 Year After Cancelling My Account?


If your Class Static Productions account is canceled, Class Static will release your catalog and provide guidance with transferring your catalog to your next publisher. Societies typically send payments to Class Static for streaming royalties and uses. This process can last around one year after cancelation due to funds earned during your Class Static active contract. Class Static only collect funds for the time your contract was active with us. Usually, societies continue sending funds to the most recent publisher




How Do I Register With A PRO (Performing Rights Organization)?


Class Static Productions will register you and your songs with a PRO so you can receive performance royalties. Class Static will collect publisher royalties for you, which is different from performance royalties that you will receive from a PRO.




What If Someone Is Using My Music Without My Permission?


If you think someone is using your music illegally, we suggest that you seek legal advice. Class Static Productions cannot provide legal advice to clients regarding copyright infringement.




How Do I Protect My Music?


Registering your songs with Class Static Productions legally protects your music by getting your songs registered with the U.S. Copyright Office.




Will I Still Own And Control My Copyright After Registering With Class Static Productions?


When you are the original creator of your music, 100% of the copyright belongs to you. After registering with Class Static Productions, you will still keep 100% of the ownership/copyright of your music. Class Static takes care of the business side of things by administering everything on your behalf.




What If I Am Already Registered With A PRO (Performing Rights Organization)?


No problem! Class Static Productions will still register your songs with your PRO. It is important to still register with Class Static even though you are affiliated with a PRO. Class Static collects 50% of royalties that PRO’s do not.




What If I Am Not Registered With A PRO (Performing Rights Organization)?


Class Static Productions will register you and your songs with a PRO so you can receive performance royalties. Class Static will collect publisher royalties for you, which is different from performance royalties that you will receive from a PRO.




What Is A Public Domain Song?


Work considered a public domain are songs that do not have current copyright. Public domain songs are available to the public and typically do not require permission to use the material. An example of a public domain song is "When the Saints Go Marching In." Class Static Productions does not accept songs that are a public domain or has any elements of a public domain.




Can I Register A Public Domain Song With Class Static Productions?

How Do I Submit A Setlist For My Live Performances To My PRO?


Class Static Productions allows you to submit your setlist through your Class Static My Account Profile. Songwriters, producers, and beat makers are eligible to receive royalties for performing music they created. You can get paid for performing in the U.S. and Internationally. Get paid worldwide! Class Static has a simple way for you to submit your setlist and keep track of your records.

To submit your setlist information, click on the live performance tab in your Class Static My Account Profile. Complete the form and submit. Our setlist process is set-up simple for you to submit your entries. You will be paid directly by your PRO for performance royalties.

What If I Am Not Affiliated With A U.S. Performing Rights Organization (PRO) And I Want To Submit A Setlist?


If you are affiliated with an international PRO, you will have to submit your setlist directly to your home PRO. Your home PRO will submit your setlist to a U.S. Performing Rights Organization (such as BMI or ASCAP).

Can I Submit Setlist For Shows Performed Internationally Even Though I Live In The U.S.?

How Do I Cancel My Class Static Productions Account?


Your account with Class Static Productions can be canceled one year after you register with us. You will need to complete an electronic notice form located in your My Account Profile titled submit notice, if you want to transfer your catalog to another publisher. You will receive a proof of delivery statement to the email address indicated by you on the notice form. It is your responsibility to ensure that a delivery statement is received by identifying and keeping a record of the delivery statement. The notice shall be deemed served on the date signed for by Class Static Productions.

If your Class Static Productions account is canceled, Class Static will release your catalog and provide guidance with transferring your catalog to your next publisher. Societies typically send payments to Class Static for streaming royalties and uses. This process with societies can last around one year after cancelation due to funds earned during your Class Static active contract. Class Static only collect funds for the time your contract was active with us. Usually, societies continue sending funds to the most recent publisher assigned to your account. Your Payoneer account is not affected by your Class Static account cancelation. You are able to contact us directly if you need a past distributed royalties statement.

Music publishing is a term used to describe the money songwriters and music creators are entitled to for their original musical work.




What Does Publishing Administration Mean?


Publishing administration is the process taken to register songs (music, lyrics, and beats), collect royalties worldwide, and oversee accounting. Publishing administration companies ensure music creators are paid the money they earn for their music.




If I Do Not Live In The United States Can I Still Register With Class Static Productions?


Class Static Productions provide services for current United States citizens only. Clients must be a United States citizen and a resident of the United States.




What Is The Difference Between A Performing Rights Organization (PRO) And A Music Publishing Administration Company?


PRO’s only collect performance royalties for radio plays, satellite radio, TV, some streaming, gyms, airports, bars, live music venues, and ringtones. PRO’s do not collect all music publishing royalties. Publishing Administration Companies collect musical mechanical royalties for streaming services like Spotify or Google Play, iTunes, Amazon, and music connected with a moving image. Songwriters and music publishers should register with both a PRO and a Publishing Administration Company to collect all their royalties.




Doses Class Static Do Music Distribution?


No, Class Static does not provide distribution services. Music distribution is when distribution companies place your songs onto streaming services and digital platforms like iTunes and Amazon Music. Music distribution companies often do not provide publishing services. You will still need to register your music with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO) and a Publishing Administration company like Class Static to collect your royalties.




Do I Still Need A Publishing Administrator If I Am Registered With A Performing Rights Organization (PRO)?

What Performing Rights Organization (PRO) Can I Join?


BMI, ASCAP, and SESAC are the three different PRO’s in the United States. For more information about which PRO is best for you, visit each PRO’s website and get more information about their services. Class Static can register you and your songs with the PRO of your choice.




Why Should I Join Class Static Productions?


Traditional music publishers can take up to 100% of songwriters, beat makers, and producers copyright ownership, and typically take up to 50% of their royalties. However, Class Static’s clients keep 100% of their copyright ownership, and 80% of their publishing royalties.

Class Static collects publishing royalties that Performing Rights Organizations (PRO’s) do not collect and clients double their income by registering with us. Also, Class Static registers clients and their songs with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO) of their choice for no additional cost!

What If I Am A Songwriter And I Have My Own Music Publishing Company?


You still should register with Class Static. Class Static will register you as a songwriter and your music publishing company with a Performing Rights Organization (PRO). We will register your songs with a PRO as well. Also, we will collect your publishing royalties globally on your behalf.




What Does Copyright Mean?


Copyright is a U.S. law established to protect an author’s original work. Having your work copyrighted stops other people from using your work without your permission. To avoid your work from being used by others, it is important to register your music with the U.S. Copyright Office.




Why Should I Copyright My Music?


Without registering your music through the U.S. Copyright Office, you are in jeopardy of others using your music, without legal consequences, and you not being paid for your work.

The court system will only acknowledge cases for music that is registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, if you ever needed to sue someone. Therefore, if your music is not registered with the U.S. Copyright Office, people will be able to use your music, and there will not be much you can do about it.




How Does Pricing Work?


Pay a one-time yearly fee of $110.00.

Complete a song submission form for each song $335.00.

Performing Rights Organization (PRO): Account registration and song registration $0 (Free!). This free service is included when you submit a song submission form.

When royalties are collected, you get 80% of all royalties, and Class Static keeps 20%.




What Is SoundExchange?


SoundExchange is a U.S. organization that collects royalties for artist and copyright owners of sound recordings. The royalties SoundExchange collects is for digital performance sound recordings. Digital performance sound recordings royalties are collected when songs get played on web radio such as Pandor or SiriusXM, and websites that play music. Does Class Static Register Clients With SoundExchange?


No, Class Static does not register clients with SoundExchange. We collect mechanical royalties on behalf of songwriters and music publishers. Class Static registers clients and their songs with a performance rights organization so clients can collect performance royalties as a publisher and a songwriter. Also, Class Static gets client’s music copyrighted with the U.S. Copyright Office.

SoundExchange collects performance royalties for artist and copyright owners of sound recordings. If you are an artist and a songwriter or publisher, you should register with SoundExchange and Class Static to collect all royalties entitled to you. I Want To Start My Own Business


Class Static clients can utilize our affiliated law firms to get their companies registered as an LLC (Limited Liability Company). Clients will need to submit a legal services referral form. After completing a legal services referral form, someone from one of the affiliated law firms will contact clients and assist them with the company registration process. I Need To Get My Logo Trademarked


Class Static clients can utilize our affiliated law firms to get their logo’s trademark. Getting a logo trademark can prevent other people from using your logo without your permission. Clients will need to submit a legal services referral form. After completing a legal services referral form, someone from one of the affiliated law firms will contact clients and assist them with trademarking their logo.
